How To Clean Your Own Windows

In between window cleaning servicing or if you're a DIY (do-it-yourself) kind of person here are a couple of helpful hints from your friendly neighborhood window cleaner!

Types of Window Cleaning Solutions to Use:

1. A commercial solution such as Glass Gleam 4 (biodegradable, USDA approved, and green product approved by Earth Friendly Technology) or another professional solution you trust.

2. Or a vinegar-based solution, that you can make with our simple window cleaning mixture below.

Items needed:

• Spray bottle

• Warm water (7 parts)

• Distilled or white vinegar (1 part)

• Microfiber towels (separate into two piles once you're cleaning-dry ones and wet ones)

Steps to clean your windows:

1. Pick 1 towel to be your designated dirty towel and use it to wipe your widow of visible dirt and debris.

2. Spray down window with your mixed solution.

3. Use a 2nd microfiber towel to rub the solution onto the window and apply more solution if needed (just be mindful of the surrounding fiberglass, wood or vinyl frame as it may discolor the finish).

4. Now using a 3rd clean microfiber towel quickly wipe your windows dry to avoid any streaks.

5. Spray the window tracks and with a 4th towel wipe dry.
